SERESIN
Established by filmmaker Michael Seresin in 1992, the 165 hectare estate comprises three vineyard properties; two, Home and Tatou, located in the Wairau Valley and a third, Raupo Creek, at the foothills of the Omaka Valley, in Marlborough. The estate is unique and diverse, encompassing olive groves, gardens, pasture, livestock, orchards and native wetlands. No chemicals are used on the certified organic and biodynamic properties, instead natural composts and specially formulated biodynamic preparations promote healthy soil and healthy plants. Our vineyards are planted with Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Pinot Noir and Viognier.
The sentinel stone at the entrance to our Home Vineyard in Marlborough, New Zealand, signals the path to both our winery and our philosophy. The stone bears a subtle handprint, a symbol of strength, gateway to the heart, tiller of the soil and the mark of the artisan. The grapes on our estate are organically and biodynamically grown, hand-tended and hand-picked and through gentle and natural winemaking, handmade into wines which are truly expressive of our people and land – wines of passion, grace and spirit.
