MT DIFFICULTY

Founding Vineyards Established in 1992, the estate comprises of six vineyards; Templars Hill, Pipeclay Terrace, Menzies Terrace, Mansons Farm, Target Gully and Long Gully – total plantings of 40 hectares situated along Felton Road in the sub region of Bannockburn, Central Otago. Protected by the rain shadow of Mt Difficulty, the region provides a continental climate combined with unique soils ideally suited for growing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris.

Mt Difficulty Wines founding vineyards where established in 1992 making them some of the oldest in the sub-region of Bannockburn, Central Otago. This unique area of extremes is ideally suited to crafting wines which speak with a sense of place. Our philosophy of combining sustainable viticulture with minimal winemaking intervention allows the wine to express its personality whilst reflecting its home.
